It was pandemonium Tuesday in Oghara, headquarters of Ethiope West
Local Government Area, as youths numbering over 1000 went on rampage,
protesting the arrest of one of their members, who they identified as
Favour Ededdey, and who they refered to as a vibrant youth leader in the
area.
The protest which lasted for over 2 hours led to heavy traffic jam
along major streets, including the popular Oghara dual carriage way.
Some of the placards carried by some of the angry youths red, “leave
Favour alone”, “Favour is our main man”, “you cannot arrest Favour”,
“Oghara youths are good people of Nigeria”, “we will cause mayhem if
Favour is not released”, etc.
The youths president of the community, and spokesman of the
protesting youths, Mr. Emmanuel Eruteyan who led the protest, told
Vanguard that Favour Ededdey who he said lives opposite the Oghara
